Matronly, grandmotherly character actress, in films 1935-47, best known as head nurse Molly Byrd in the "Dr. Kildare/Dr. Gillespie" films of the 1930s and '40s. 64 years old when she made her film debut in William Wyler's "These Three" in 1935, she lived to be 88, dying in 1960. Hide
