Network: Mad as Hell - The Creation of a Movie Moment
Description
Howard Beale (Peter Finch) is on the way out at UBS Evening News. After being pulled off the air, he is let back on for a dignified farewell and goes on a rant about life being 'bullshit'. Beale's outburst causes ratings to spike, and much to president Max Schumacher's (William Holden) dismay. Then, after Christensen (Faye Dunaway) persuades her boss, Frank Hackett (Robert Duvall) to lean into Beale's success, he goes on the air and galvanizes the citizens in a fiery speech.
