The television program aired for seven weeks in NYPD Blue's time slot. After its run ended and ABC declined to renew the program, producers shopped it to other networks to no avail. Maximum Bob actors Liz Vassey and Kiersten Warren made guest appearances on Fantasy Island, produced by the same people responsible for Bob in Fall 1998.
